WEEKLY ART WARMUP – Free / Zoom

Online event

WEEKLY ART WARMUP – ALL ARTISTS WELCOME!
Monday Mornings 10 AM - Noon (MT) - Zoom link provided.
(Please read below as a few changes have been made.)

Come jumpstart your week by energizing your individual art practice with this supportive community. You can use this time for experimentation, to create a series of small works, or as a warm up before tackling bigger projects in your studio.

THIS IS YOUR ART PRACTICE! You can work in whatever style and medium you'd like. – EXPLORE AND HAVE FUN!

HOW THIS WORKS:
Starting with a short hello from the organizers, then we will all get to work on our individual art projects. The last thirty or forty minutes will be reserved for sharing, (i.e. your name, city, art medium, what you worked on today, etc. - A time limit maybe imposed to make sure everyone has ample time.)

QUESTIONS?
Dayna Matlin, [masked]
Co-Organizer: Wendy H Gee

ALSO ON MEETUP:
Check out our friends at “Creative Coworking”.

Creative Coworking Wednesdays

Online event

Join us every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 10:00 AM (Mountain Time) for Creative Coworking, a 2.5 hour group work sprint on Zoom. Coworking can help us to stay focused and motivated. With the accountability of fellow creatives working on their own projects, we can overcome any initial resistance to beginning our work. Seeing others while they work can help us feel less lonely in our solitary creative pursuit.

Guidelines:
-Introduce yourself and briefly tell the group your goal for the next 2 hours. Please limit yourself to 1-2 minutes so we can maximize our work time together.
-After everyone states their goals, we will all mute our microphones (but stay on video) and work for 2 hours on our own goals. You're welcome to take a short break after the hour, but we will continue the work while muted.
-At the end, we will check in about how it went and what we accomplished. It’s not required to show your work to the group, but you’re welcome to do so if you want.
-Around 12:30 PM, the group will conclude.

What Creative Coworking IS:
-Dedicated work time: give yourself this time to focus on your important creative goals!
-Community
-Accountability
-Focus
-Motivation

What it is NOT:
-Critique/feedback circle
-Time to check email or engage in distractions
-Time to chat with each other or others in your environment
-Brainstorming or problem-solving group (check out Creative Coffee for that!)

What you'll need:
-Internet connection
-Zoom (you will gain access to the call link when you RSVP)
-Your workspace and tools to make your project

We look forward to seeing you there!

If you're interested in more coworking and accountability, I now offer a membership: https://www.creativecoworking.club/
