Quarterly Professional Speaker Series*: Suzanne Kachmar, Executive Director of City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport
Are you interested in having your work shown in an art gallery? Would you know how to make contact and how to submit your work?
What do you need to do to get a gallery owner’s attention and stay on their radar?
If you want the answers to these questions and more, we have invited Suzanne Kachmar, Executive Director of City Lights Gallery to our September meeting to explain best practices for artists to present their work to art galleries in a way that looks professional and increases your chances of success.
*Each quarter, the Coastal Arts Guild of CT will invite a speaker to share their professional creative expertise at our monthly meeting.
August Art Challenge:
The medium of the challenge is: Glue (decopage, collage, etc.)
The theme of the challenge is: “Aquatic”
August’s art challenge was announced at the Guild’s August monthly meeting on August 7. Once the challenge is announced, members have until the following meeting (1 month) to complete their entry. Review and judging of the August art challenge will happen at the Guild’s September meeting at the date above.
The art challenge is open to all mediums and creative disciplines, including music, writing and spoken word. Judging and inclusion in a future show is open to members only. Not a member? Not a problem. You can easily join here: http://bit.ly/join-the-guild
