Our December meeting will feature our quarterly speaker series: Art restorer Bill Alletzhauser will give a talk and presentation on the many aspects of art restoration. During his presentation Bill will show the techniques used to clean dirt and varnish which has darkened and oxidized over time to reveal the original work's vibrant colors. Bill will show how to clean artwork while not damaging the painting itself.
Bill's career in art restoration spans many decades and his customers include art dealers and art collectors in New York and Connecticut, and one small museum in Southern New Hampshire.
All of the speakers in our series are paid. Suggested donation is $10.
In order to give Bill enough time for his presentation, the art challenge is taking a month off. It will resume in January.
