Within the Digital context, we explore the works of creative artists, to see how they can be relevant to us in the 21st Century, and how they can inspire us to be more creative.
In our workshops, we engage with existing material chosen by each member, related to issues and concerns that confront us in the 21st Century (this could include plays, words, videos, articles, music, images, poems etc). Then we have a discussion amongst ourselves, and from this, we work collaboratively to develop our creative skills - acting, voice recording, filming, writing, digital awareness, music, painting etc.
Open to people who are keen to share their love for the arts, who are open to exploring new ideas and practices, and who also want to develop themselves as creative people.
We hold workshops fortnightly on Tuesday evenings, in the centre of Birmingham, and the sessions run in blocks of 7. There is a charge to cover the cost of the room hire etc.
Please note the venue is held in a second-floor room, there is a small lift but only to the first floor. There is no disabled access to the Pub itself.
The first Introduction Workshop will be held on 17th September 2019. We discuss the chosen 21st Century topic, get to know each other, and explore our own creative drivers. There is no charge for first-timers to attend this session, if people would like to take part in the remaining workshops they will need to make a booking at this session:
£36.00 for the 6 upcoming fortnightly sessions (or £24.00 for just 3).
In these workshops we create and develop art forms that explore the chosen 21st Century topic. A presentation of our work will be held on the final session, followed by a discussion about what was achieved and feedback to guide the next block of sessions.
