We are a local public speaking club who meet regularly in the Chichester area to improve our communication and leadership skills. Our members have a range of experience in public speaking, from those just starting out to the highly experienced. Our experienced members are more than happy to share their skills in a friendly, supportive environment. If you want to learn how to speak in public, this is the place to be! We welcome new members of all ages from 18 upwards, whether you are an accomplished speaker or are just making those first tentative steps - come along to one of our meetings as a guest and try us out! We are affiliated to Toastmasters International, and follow their meeting format and educational programme - a tried and tested formula which is successful the world over. Our website is www.Arunspeakers.net and we meet on Wednesdays, specifically the 1st, 3rd and sometimes 5th Wednesday of the Month.
Many people are hesitant to try speaking in public. At Arun Speakers we enable people to practice public speaking in a safe, friendly environment with plenty of help, advice and guidance. We love to see people grow in confidence as they give it a go!
Guests are very welcome - come along and see what it is all about!
A few formalities this evening as we elect the President and Committee for the 2019/20 Toastmasters Year, and receive reports about how the Club is performing.
But don't worry - the formalities won't last all evening! We will have our usual Prepared Speeches and Impromptu Table Topics speeches (just a little less of them than normal!)
We meet in the Friends Meeting House on Priory Road in Chichester on the First and Third Wednesday of each month. This is the Fifth Wednesday, so this meeting will be different - watch this space for details, or see our Facebook & Twitter pages.
There will always be friendly faces to meet and guide you through what is happening at the meeting. There is no obligation to speak or to join the club for the first couple of meetings!
Whether you would like to learn how to speak in public for work, or persuade people, or entertain them or as a personal challenge Arun Speakers Club can help. We enable people to develop their public speaking skills with plenty of opportunity to practice in a friendly environment with helpful, supportive advice, guidance and feedback.
Guests are very welcome, and won't have to speak unless they really want to!
