Asha Yoga and Meditation Center is founded on the philosophy of seva or selfless service. We are based on the principle of awakening love in a diverse and accepting community, regardless of financial means or level of experience. All of our classes are Offering based, suggested offering is $10.00 but we gratefully accept what you can offer. Your offerings help to cover rent, utilities and keeps our doors open. In addition, all of our teachers are “giving” their time to teach yoga and lead meditations to as many people as possible. If you feel a desire to give in any other way you can join our Karma Crew to help with the details of keeping the center tidy and neat. Just let me know.
Our teachers are certified and/or Registered with Yoga Alliance to teach those who are just coming to yoga for the first time as well as experienced practitioners. They are here to assist you and are dedicated to helping you make the connection between your physical practice, your inner wisdom and spirit. Each teacher's class will offer something a little different based on his or her training, particular influences and teachers.

Join Maureen or Leah for a relaxing and insightful Yin experience.
Yin Yoga is based on stretching the deep connective tissues of the body. This practice is done seated on your mat. The focus is on the hips, lower back and pelvis to open the joints and aid in flexibility. The poses are held for 3-5 minutes allowing the breath to move into the tight areas. This can be a deep and meditative practice. Good for all levels.
