We'll be posting all the Asheville-area stand-up comedy shows in the area (assuming I know about them). We've met several of you already, and we'd love to meet more of you!
Asheville has a lot of great comedy. There's touring comics performing in larger venues. Asheville is also home to a thriving local scene with great local comics performing in smaller venues and opening for touring comics. There is also a great selection of open mics, so if you ever have the itch to try something out, you'll have plenty of opportunities.

Ryan Cox is an Asheville-based stand-up comedian whose relaxed delivery blends twisted storytelling with sharp, crafted punchlines. Fresh off his Dry Bar Comedy special Sweet Spot, Ryan’s material has garnered millions of views across streaming platforms. A road-tested comic of over a decade, Ryan has performed nationwide in clubs, theaters and alt rooms. His distinct voice blends heart, wit and a touch of existential humor about family, technology and staying human in weird times. Ryan has featured for Reggie Watts, Pete Lee and Beth Stelling. He hosts Home Planet with Ryan Cox, a podcast exploring the creative process through conversations with comedians, musicians and artists from all walks of life. Sweet, Southern, and a little absurd, Ryan finds the funny in the middle of everything — middle age, middle ground, and middle America.

Tom Thakkar is a comedian, podcaster, and writer living in Los Angeles, CA. He started his career in Bloomington, Indiana, where he was born and raised, a half Indian man with a deadbeat Indian father who he never met. Tom moved up the midwest circuit, and was named a New Face by the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, and quickly moved to New York, and eventually to Los Angeles. He's now been seen on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, CONAN, Comedy Central Presents, This Week at the Comedy Cellar, and much much more. In New York, he became a regular at the world famous Comedy Cellar, and works at almost every club in the city. He can also be heard as a regular on everybody's favorite new podcast "Are You Garbage," as well as on "We Might Be Drunk," "The Honeydew," "Doug Loves Movies," "Never Not Funny," "All Fantasy Everything," and more. Tom also hosted the Comedy Central podcast, "Stand Up with Tom Thakkar," and popular comedy/music podcast "Stand By Your Band," with Tommy McNamara.
On top of stand up and podcasting, Tom acted in the award winning short film "Sofa So Good" and wrote and appeared on the SyFy comedy sketch show, "The Movie Show." Right now, Tom can be seen touring around the country performing stand up almost every week, check his calendar to see if he’s coming to your city!
