Cape Lookout Nat'l Seashore - South Core Banks

Cape Lookout Cabins & Camps Ferry Service

A rustic beach cabin facing miles of open beach and you're on "island time". Cabins come with bunk beds, indoor plumbing with potable hot & cold water, complete bathroom with shower, and gas cooking stoves. There are no refrigerators. You furnish your own cooking utensils, bed linens or sleeping bags, dishes and ice chests. Now you can stay on the remote pristine beaches of Cape Lookout Nat'l Seashore without tent camping! For more info: http://www.nps.gov/calo/ For transport to Great Island Cabin Camp located directly across Core Sound from the community of Davis, NC we will use: Cape Lookout Cabins & Camps Ferry Service -- (252)[masked] In order to catch the ferry out of Davis on Saturday, 30 March 2019, at 2:00pm we must be at the dock no later than 1:15pm in order to pay the $16.00 for the round-trip walk-on ferry service. We pay individually so please bring cash. Ferry times are 8 - 10 - 12 - 2 - 4 everyday, and you do have a choice, but check-in to the cabin is at 1:00pm. Monday, 01 April 2019, is the day we check-out @ 10:00am from cabins 21 & 22 (4 campers per cabin). The ferry back to Davis departs @ 11:00am. Ferry times are 9 - 11 - 1 - 3 - 5 everyday, and you do have a choice, but where do you keep your gear once you leave the cabin? Please be cognizant that the $40.00 to RSVP does not cover the cost of $16.00 pp for the round-trip ferry service nor the $10.00 parking fee per vehicle for the weekend in the marina parking lot. Should be a fantastic weekend!
