The North Carolina Writers' Network West (http://netwestwriters.blogspot.com/) and the Jackson County Public Library (http://fontanalib.org/sylva) present A Day for Writers, a one-day writing conference for writers of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children's literature, and anyone who wants to publish their writing.

Pastry and coffee in the morning, and lunch provided! Conference open to the public, walk-ins welcome. (But it helps if you register in advance so that sufficient lunches are provided.)

Saturday, May 6th offers a full day of sessions, plus a panel on publishing and marketing. Read about the speakers and their sessions (http://netwestwriters.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_6.html) as well as the timeline of events (http://netwestwriters.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_13.html). Speakers include myself, Terry Kay, Kathryn Stripling Byer, Catherine Carter, Deanna Klengel, Gary Carden, and more. I will present 'Why Authors Need Bylines in Magazines, and How to Make That Happen.'

RSVPing on Meetup does not guarantee your spot at the conference. Please sign up here to help facilitate our meeting together at the conference. TO OFFICIALLY REGISTER - complete the conference application (http://netwestwriters.blogspot.com/p/v-behaviorurldefaultvmlo.html) and pay your fee directly to the conference. Fees range depending on early bird, student, NCWN membership, etc. (Approximately $49+)
