This is a group for Asian/Asian-American men looking to network with peers and make new friends beyond a professional setting. It's a group where we can have honest dialogues with each other about various topics that are relevant for the Asian-American male today:
- Making Money/developing your career/learning how to be a boss
- Health and Fitness
- Asian-related politics/news
- Reconciling Asian culture in America (aka dealing with your Asian parents)
...And anything else worth talking about that other Asian guys will uniquely understand.
I started this group because the notion of Asian brotherhood has never really existed, especially across Pan-Asian lines. Whether you are Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian or any other type of Asian, I'd love to have you join. The Asian-American narrative is starting to shift in the US, and solidarity is more important than ever. Whether you are an American-born Asian, or a recent immigrant, young or old...It doesn't matter. We can all learn from each other and help each other out.
I think it's pathetic that Asians make more money than any other group in this country, yet have almost no voice in politics, Hollywood and general pop culture. Let's change that.
Once this group reaches a respectable number, I'll initiate a meetup in the Greater Boston area, typically in Boston Proper, Cambridge, or Somerville. There will be happy hours, cigars, dinners, and much more to come. I hope you'll give it a shot!
