Welcome to the Meetup Group for Asian Professionals!
Join a vibrant community of Asian and Asian-American professionals in their 20s, 30s, and 40s from the NY/NJ area, all brought together by a shared appreciation for their countries, languages, and cultures. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, including:
- East Asian and Asian-American: Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Thai, Filipino, Mongolian, Cambodian, Laotian, Malaysian, Singaporean, Indonesian.
- South Asian and Desi-American: Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Nepali, Bhutanese, Maldivian, Afghan.

Desi, Indian and South Asian Singles - Speed Dating

This speed dating event is for Desi, Indian and South Asian singles. Speed dating is the most effective way for men and women to meet. Nothin' beats meeting someone face to face in a nice and safe environment.
How does it work?
You will go on about 10 dates with someone of the opposite sex, each date will be 5 minutes long/short. We will provide you with materials to tell us who you liked. If the same person(s) you pick also pick you, you will be a "Match" and we will give you each others' contact information - then the rest is up to you! Call each other up and make plans to go out!

Things to know:
- We are promoting this event on various dating sites, don't just go by the number of people who have RSVP'd on this Meetup group. This event is almost sold out.
- The purchase of 1 drink is required, so please buy a drink so the venue will let us use their space for future events.
- There's no strict dress code, but this is a singles event and you will want to look your best. No gym wear, hoodies, sneakers, etc. Stylish jeans okay.
- NO tickets sold at the door.
- We cannot accept walk-ins because we need to ensure an equal number of men and women.
