How Will Amazon's Create Space Shut Down Affect Authors?
As Amazon has slowly eliminated author services such as editing, cover design and many more, they claimed the Create Space platform would remain. Now, even it is hitting the chopping block. This means many changes for authors. As Create Space prepares for the shut down, they have expanded the KDP ebook platform to now host prints books. This opens many questions and concerns for authors. The old Create Space platform isn't fully compatible with the new KDP print platform. Many other changes will affect authors books as well. Customer service is practically non-existent on KDP, therefore with all the changes and potential issues, are there any benefits? Is it worth staying with Amazon? What other choices do authors have? This meetup will cover these issues and more to give authors a heads up in moving forward with their self-publishing while offering ideas and options available in addition to the changes good and bad. This meeting will be important to any author planning to self-publish or who has received notice to move their books.

Member Support

We are writers, we few hundred. While our avocation is publishing and marketing our work, our passion is our writing. We support each other. We help each other get started. Therefore, members should support each other by writing a brief review about the book and why somebody might OR should BUY the book on as many review channels as possible such as Amazon, Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter and more. For Amazon, in order to post a book review, be sure to state that you received a review copy if you did not purchase a copy or Amazon will remove the review as a non-verified purchase.
