One of the many benefits of membership we offer in the Association of Women in Computing, NNJ Chapter is a series of no-cost Spring and Fall workshops.

For our circle of non-member friends, we want to share with you the exciting topics and workshop facilitators available and also extend an invite to you to come and network, enjoy a light dinner, and attend our career-enhancing, small-group workshop offered at a location in the Fairfield NJ area where you can meet new people and learn in a more interactive setting.

Seats for our second workshop on “Time Management Magic” can be reserved by sending an email to [masked] with “Spring Workshop #2” in your subject line.  Note that email confirmations will go out to all non-members beginning April 15th in the order in which requests are received.

Directions will be provided once reservations are confirmed, and payment by either check or cash will be due at sign-in.  Reminder notices will also be sent prior to the workshop.

WORKSHOP #2: Tuesday, April 29, 2014, “Time Management Magic.” Workshop to be held in the Fairfield NJ area from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. All attendees will need to pay a $10.00 charge for a dinner of sandwiches, light finger food, soda, coffee, tea and cookies provided between 6:00 PM – 7 PM. Non-members must pay an additional $10.00 Workshop fee for a total of $20.00.

Workshop Description: In today’s busy world, having enough time for things that are important can seem impossible. Whether your calendar is filled with commitments or you need to get through piles of paperwork, either can easily lead to stress, frustration, and overwhelm because you don’t see any end in sight. You can come in early, stay late, take work home, do two things at once, but your to-do list just keeps getting longer and longer!

Sound familiar? Time is a resource distributed to everyone in equal measure. Discover the power of managing your time effectively. Time management is much more complicated than making a list and checking things off. The first step is recognizing what needs to change and then doing something about it. Becoming aware and making simple changes how you use time can bring about dramatic performance improvements. Come join our facilitator and other workshop participants to tackle your time management issues and speed up your work routine. You will gain a deeper understanding how your time management skills have a direct effect on the efficiency and quality of your work and personal life, and review strategies to bring about change.

Come examine what may be keeping you from managing your time. Take a look at your priorities, over-commitments, self-doubts, disorganization, and attitudes. Learn how to manage your time effectively and accomplish more in less time with less stress. This workshop will help you:

· Gain an understanding of how you think about and use your time

· Learn effective techniques to overcome the main time wasters

· Learn how to identify and deal with procrastination

· Build a foundation for changing behaviors and attitudes

· Accomplish more in less time with less stress

· Optimize your time and effectiveness

This workshop will be co-sponsored by NJ Creatives (NJCN) http://www.njcreatives.org/, a networking organization for freelance creative talent - from writers and artists to web or graphic designers and photographers, film and video producers, and more.
