Athens UX meetup no38 | Do it the "Amazon" way

Details
Dear UXers
I am happy to announce our next UX meetup to be held on April 27th. This time the main topic of discussion is larger than others directly related to the UX field, however, I am pretty sure that every one of you will get key learnings that can be adjusted and applied to your own context. We will have a great opportunity to reflect on the Leadership Principles of Amazon and discuss examples of how they can be applied to support a true User & Customer-centered culture.
Our guest speaker is Andreas Papaderos (https://www.linkedin.com/in/andreaspapaderos/). Andreas is a UX manager with 10+ years of experience, most of them within Amazon where he grew from a designer to a manager of 15+ designers.
Check out the details about this talk.
Title: "Amazon Leadership Principles"
Description:
"How we use our Leadership Principles every day, whether we're discussing ideas for new projects or deciding on the best approach to solving a problem. It is just one of the things that makes Amazon peculiar. At Amazon, we hold ourselves and each other accountable for demonstrating the Leadership Principles through our actions every day. Our Leadership Principles describe how Amazon does business, how leaders lead, and how we keep the customer at the center of our decisions. Our unique Amazon culture, described by our Leadership Principles, helps us relentlessly pursue our mission of being Earth’s most customer-centric company. While our Principles have evolved over time, they remain true to the values we've held since Day 1. When [Amazon.com](http://amazon.com/) launched in 1995, it was with the mission “to be Earth’s most customer-centric company.” What does this mean? It's simple. We're a company that obsesses over our customers. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer's top of mind. In other words, we start with the customer and work backwards. When we hit on something that is really working for customers, we double-down on it with hopes to turn it into an even bigger success. However, it’s not always as clean as that. Inventing is messy, and over time, it’s certain that we’ll fail at some big bets too".
Mark your calendars, and see you on April 27th!
Best regards
Panagiotis
