CoreML and Composable Caching

Details
Hello,
We are really excited to announce the 6th iOS Meetup. It will take place on Tuesday November 20 @ 18:30 at Advantage FSE premises (map: https://goo.gl/maps/Tx2PPX8Fs5z)
In this meetup, Vladimir and Fotis from Warply will show us how to run a Keras model on iOS with CoreML and George from Workable will talk about Composable Caching.
More details on each talk can be found bellow.
★ Let's run a Keras model on iOS with CoreML: pushing AI onto mobile devices (Vladimir-Vadim Iurcovschi and Fotis Kalaitzidis, Warply)
Description: In this talk we will code a Convolutional Neural Network in Keras, using Python, and deploy the model to an iOS device using Apple's CoreML library. We are going to dive into the impressive world of AI and explain how your company could bridge the gap between your Data Science and iOS development team, to build highly scalable, state-of-the-art ML/DL mobile applications.
Vladimir-Vadim Iurcovschi (Data Scientist/Warply): Vladimir is a Mathematician, Data Scientist and Teacher. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and a Master's Degree in Data Science. He has working experience in Natural Language Processing, Predictive Modelling, Data Mining and a passion for Deep Learning to solve problems that matter. In his spare time, Vladimir enjoys teaching, coding and travelling.

Fotis Kalaitzidis (iOS Developer/Warply): Fotis is an iOS Developer at Warply. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Image Synthesis and Computer Graphics. As a passionate Apple lover, he adores the simplicity and effectiveness with which a MacBook and iPhones have enhanced his personal life and that’s why he started working as iOS Developer.

★ Composable Caching (George Tsifrikas, Workable)
Description: Caching is an a very integral part of a mobile app since it allows less battery usage, quicker interactions and better experience overall. In this talk we’re going to explore the fundamentals of caching and learn how to compose different cache layers such as disk and network into one by defining each layer as a monoid which makes the composition of them effortless and more declarative.
George Tsifrikas: Currently is Senior iOS Engineer @Workable mobile team. Previously, George has shipped numerous apps, including one that reached top free app on the App Store. Also has shipped web apps written in Angular and vanillaJS and has experience in backend technologies such as NodeJS. You’ll probably find him thinking how to solve a UX or a challenging engineering problem.
