Atlanta Jupyter User Group Meeting THREE

Details

We will meet January 27 from 9am to 1pm at the Georgia Tech Research Institute on 14th Street. This event warms up with coffee and a panel discussion with local technologists using Jupyter and Open Source Software. Then we move on to case studies, short talks, and demos highlighting the broad applications of Jupyter Notebook in design, software, and science. Ask any further question on meetup (https://www.meetup.com/Atlanta-Jupyter-User-Group) or gitter (https://gitter.im/atl-jugheads).

Bring your laptops and any questions you may about your projects in Jupyter or how to get more out of your notebooks.

The talk topics this month are:

  • A history of notebook publishing from core developer Nick Bollweg
  • Training neural networks to identify bird songs by David Nicholson [x]
  • Understanding crypto currencies
  • A continuation of testing code in notebooks

The Atlanta Jupyter User Group encourages first time and novice presentations. Please drop by to discuss talk ideas or for suggestions and brainstorming. We are still accepting small talks.

Please consider submitting a talk or demo (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfY1c4y2vLE-q3VMBjOpvTi4pK5D6Q9KudNk25AsxQUjsT3eA/viewform) or suggesting a speaker (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf4fN7fEoWbsibaUnJKca_31c7StiTNvGuUOAQz8TlEJyaB8Q/viewform).
