We are excited to host Nicole Parrot @Cleo_Qc, our first out of town Jupyter User Group speaker!

JupyterLab and Educational Robotics.

Discover the GoPiGo, a Raspberry Pi based robot for the classroom environment, from primary schools all the way to graduate schools. The latest version ships with JupyterLab, bringing interactive Python into middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Nicole will be talking about the reasons why JupyterLab was chosen and where Dexter Industries want to take the GoPiGo.

Nicole Parrot (rhymes with Captain Sparrow) is CTO of Dexter Industries and resides in Montreal, Canada. She's an engineer, a homeschool mom, and an instructor in school and afterschool programs. Dexter Industries is an American company that specializes in educational robotics. Their main product is the GoPiGo, which got kickstarted in 2014 and is now on its third iteration.

• Tony will do a hands demonstration of importnb, a tool to import and test notebooks.
