Join us as we meet-up at Atlanta's Church of the Sacred Heart!

This beautiful church has everything a photographer dreams of to make a great photograph: structure, detail, color, texture, and light to name a few. You can almost just point and shoot anywhere in this building and come up with a great photograph.

Often referred to as “the best kept secret in Atlanta”, the current building was built in 1898. It was thought by many to be “too far outside the city.” My, how things have changed. In an answer to the growing needs of the Catholic population in Atlanta, Sacred Heart parish, originally called Saints Peter and Paul, was founded in 1880 as the second Catholic Church in Atlanta and the third in Georgia. Check out more about this structures wonderful history at www.sacredheartatlanta.org.

This meetup will be held from 1:30p to 4:00p on Friday, May 23. We will meet in front of the church at 1:15p before entering.

There is free but limited parking located on the church grounds but is available on a first come first serve basis. Otherwise, you may park in the paid ($7) parking lot located directly behind the church. Directions and parking info can be found here:

Please note that the church has asked that only paying meetup members attend so children and extra guests will not be allowed to attend this meetup. A portion of your fee will be donated to the basilica.

Please bring your tripod, lenses, remote, cable release or timer controller, fresh batteries, and memory cards. No flash photography please.
