Damaged Joy: Fixing Digital Experience
Details
Customers want their service with minimal interruption to their daily lives. Despite your strategy, they know your company at the operational level. Doing the basics right for digital initiatives becomes more difficult as complexity increases, especially where web technology is involved. The value of plentiful monitoring, continuous improvements, automation, and operational effectiveness cannot be overstated. Your customers care and so should you. They are watching. They expect excellence. And you may be damaging their joy.
During this presentation, we will review seven forces that impact customer web experience, hand out copies of the speaker’s latest book, and have a brief raffle for a signed hardback.
About the Speaker:
Taz Lake is a 20+ year technologist and Founder of Brightmill, a boutique web experience improvement agency and early-stage product incubator. He is also an author, educator, advisor, self-proclaimed grumpy webmaster, and costumed engineer. Mr. Lake has serviced many Fortune 500 companies and taught hundreds of university students in Project Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Web Development, and Design. In his most recent book, Damaged Joy: Fixing Digital Experience, he argues customer experience and web improvements go hand-in-hand and should be prioritized higher in the project portfolio. Mr. Lake is the current Director of Technology for Atlanta Technology Professionals. He holds an MBA with a CIS emphasis from Georgia State University, an Interdisciplinary MA from Wheaton College (IL), and both a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Certificate in the Arts from Duke University.
