Robert Hall, Rotary International Director Elect for 2014-2016, has kindly agreed to speak to our club this evening.

Robert was born in Charleston, SC and grew up in Savannah, GA. He graduated from Georgia Tech and received his MBA from Tulane University. After a career with IBM, he now owns an executive and professional recruiting firm, HRH Consulting, specializing in non profit search.

A 35 year Rotarian, Robert joined his first Rotary Club in Brunswick, GA, then the Rotary Clubs of Milwaukee, WI and Baton Rouge, LA respectively. He is currently a member of the Rotary Club of Dunwoody and an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Atlanta.

Robert served District 6900 as District Governor, The Rotary Foundation Chair, COL representative, and the Director Nominating Committee representative. Robert is currently Zone 34 End Polio Now Coordinator, on the 2013 RI Convention Promotion Committee for Lisbon, Host Committee Chair for the 2017 RI Convention in Atlanta and RI Director Elect for 2014-2016. In 2006, Robert led a team on a NID to Uttar Pradesh, India. He has served as the RI President’s representative to numerous district conferences. Robert and Charlene are Major Donors and Bequest Society members. Robert has received Rotary’s Service Above Self award, The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service awards, and the Regional Polio Eradication and International Polio Eradication awards.

Currently Robert is on the Board of Communities In Schools of Georgia helping at risk kids stay in school and graduate. Robert has served as the Georgia Tech National Alumni Association President and was on the Georgia Tech Foundation board, and received the Dean Griffin Community Service award from Georgia Tech. He has served on the State of Georgia YMCA board and the Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy board. Robert has been a member of the advisory committees of Oglethorpe University and MedShare International.

The Halls are active members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church. They have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Robert enjoys golf, travel, volunteering and his grandchildren. Charlene is an artist and enjoys the grandchildren, antiquing and decorating.

When: See above for date. The meeting will start promptly at 6.45pm and will last approximately 1 hour, followed by a drink or two in a bar or restaurant nearby.
