What are your favorite subjects regarding science?

CHEMISTRY. See my intro. I've always been very interested in physics and electronics and really enjoyed these classes while I was working on my degree. Now that I'm all growed-up (or something like that) I can actually study things that I desire to on my own time, and I'm now taking some computer science classes that will hopefully transfer into some sort of post-secondary degree, along with some more advanced biomolecular chemistry courses. We'll see!

Where do you currently get your science news?

-http://www.sciencedaily.com/ -Various journals related to my research -Yahoo! News

What do you think will make science more appreciated and interesting to the general public?

I have done many chemistry demonstrations for children while I was presiding over the local American Chemical Society chapter at my alma mater. Actually getting to see and touch and experience science is the key to getting people interested. Once a kid can see a scientific phenomenon in front of his face with accompanying explanations as to how it is relevant in their lives, you have them hooked!

Introduction

Hello! My name's Taylor and I'm 29 years old and VERY interested in science and its impact on everything around us. I work as a bioanalytical chemist in a drug metabolism/pharmacokinetics group at a private research institution here in Atlanta.
