What are your favorite subjects regarding science?

Love environmental science, natural history, weather watching, science around rivers, streams, and water issues--former leader of the birdwatching group.

Where do you currently get your science news?

Newspaper, Science News--teen science journal, reading lots of science/environmental books, sometimes the net . . .

What do you think will make science more appreciated and interesting to the general public?

People need real info--not pop science from headlines--particularly around climate change issues and endangered species issues--sometimes we get all the wrong stuff from pop news.

Working with several citizen science groups--teacher natural sciences at a small school/am constantly reading science articles outloud to anyone in earshot.

What Debbie G. is saying about this Meetup Group

I'm frustrated by how many folks are signing up six months in advance. I can't do that, so I'm missing out. I wonder if this shouldn't be split into two groups . . . but the logistics would be a nightmare.
