I would like to do the boot camp workshops you mention, and 3pm Sundays is a good time for me.

I am going to the meetup at Manual's Friday.  How will I recognize the group?  I have not been before and don't know any of you.

Hi all,

This message comes from our very own Taylor Proctor. If you haven't met Taylor, seek her out at one of the meetings. Touching her on the forehead brings good luck!

Greetings again, SkeptAtlantans!

I'm putting together a SkeptiBOOTcamp (see what I did there). Which will consist of a series of workshops designed to assistant campers as they prepare for Skepticamp, and provide weekly opportunities for us to work on our presentations together. Because we're a SkeptiMMUNITY! That's "skeptic + community", if you didn't catch it.

The purpose of SkeptiBOOTcamp workshops is NOT to give lectures about how to give lectures. But to provide campers informal setting to review presentation techniques, receive tips and advice, ask questions and work on presentations together with the support of peers and community, SKEPTImmunity.

There will be a different SkeptiBOOTcamp "workshop" each week in April, given to small groups of 6 or 7 people. (additional sessions of each workshop will be scheduled according to interest level.)

Tentative workshop focus areas:

Workshop 1: Topic Brainstorm & Research Tips
Workshop 2: Outlining and Format Techniques & Overview of Types and Styles of Presentations
Workshop 3: Presentation Design (aka POWERPOINT)
Workshop 4: Public Speaking? AHHHHHHHHH!

660 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, 30312

This is a very nice conference room available on-property where I live.

Weekly Schedule:

My go to is Sunday afternoons, 3pm because most people seem like that at it tends have minimal scheduling conflicts. But I am wide open to any alternate suggestions.

I wanted to gauge interest level in SkeptiBOOTcamp and hear schedule availabilities of those who'd like to participate before I set anything in stone and move on ahead, so...

Thoughts? Comments?
