Atlanta Volleyball Meetup group's PURPOSE: Play volleyball on sand, grass, and indoor courts throughout Metro Atlanta, meet other local volleyball players, make new friends and teammates and build the sport of volleyball in Atlanta.
We welcome Recreational, Intermediate, and Advanced level volleyball players in Atlanta. All are welcome! Metro Atlanta Volleyball is the ultimate in Sports & Recreation – it is a very social sport. Beach volleyball is also a great form of low impact exercise. See you on the court!

We'll spend your contributions to fund improvements to public volleyball courts so we have more or better volleyball courts. Lets play some Volleyball Atlanta! . . . Warm weather is the time to play beach volleyball, and metro Atlanta has over 50 beach volleyball courts, but many of them need improvements.. so lets play vball!

- Do not sign up more than 3 weeks in advance, particularly during busier times of the year when we commonly have a waitlist. I will periodically clear the list of folks signed up farther out as a reminder.
- Do not sign up for events above your skill level.
- Avoid last-minute cancellations and/or no-shows. Doing so may result in my removing you from future events whenever there are others on the waitlist, or in a complete ban for repeat offenders.
- Please share these rules with others, and let me know of folks who are not showing these common courtesies.

(Players from my lower-level to B+ events, please ask me first before signing up for this higher-level event)- For safety and the joy of consistent play, players with lower skills
will NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY. If your profile shows that you are B+ or lower, you will be removed from the guest list without notice. - Self-call illegal contacts (lifts, carries, double-contacts, dinks, etc.). Blatantly illegal contacts are not allowed.

Event Details:
- Registered Guests Only: Waitlist players should not attend.
- If arriving late, add a note below with your expected arrival time to ensure enough players for the first game.
- Maximum 20 guests
Facility Rules:
- Adults 18+ only.
- No glass outside vehicles (100% barefoot facility).
- No attitudes or drama—play hard, play nice.
- No children under 10 within the court barrier nets during play.
- No toys smaller than a volleyball on the courts.
- No digging in the sand (to protect the plastic liner).
- No alcohol (per City of Alpharetta).
- Park in marked, straight-in spaces; no angled parking or taking multiple spots.
Prohibited in Beach Volleyball:
- Throws, carries, dinks (using finger pads), or double contacts (except on the first ball over in a single attempt).
- Servers must ensure opponents can clearly see the ball and the server.
- No touching the net.

A5 Sports Complex - Friday Adult Open Gym/All skill levels

Pay with credit cards, please. No cash.
Time is 6:30 - 10:00 p.m.
Cost is $5. They will have packages available for frequent players that can reduce the cost per session to as low as $4.They will be playing on 13 courts, which serves the dual purpose of maximizing time on the court while encouraging social distancing.
Registration will take a few minutes, so please be prepared. You may pre-register by going to: https://volleyperformance.pike13.com/group_classes/247837#/list?dt=2020-09-11 and following the prompts.
It is possible that they will have to cancel Open Gym a couple of times during the year. In this event, they will post signage at the front desk the week(s) prior to closure, b) post a message to that effect on this website, and c) send an email blast to our adult email list.
....which brings up an important point: please make sure that they have an accurate email address for you so that they can notify you of any closures and/or special events. Otherwise, there is no need to call to confirm that we're open; just show up when you can and find a court that suits your skill level. If you need help finding the court that best fits your skill level, ask the Gym Manager for assistance.
Alcohol Policy
Volleyball is a social sport. There is now a full service bar and restaurant at the venue.
Please do not bring beverages onto our fancy new floor, however. Drink responsibly. A5 Sportsplex.2 attendees
