What we're about

Keen to learn a new language, but working all day and do not have much time?

You think it would help your career if you could speak some other language than English but do not know where to start?

Well, WELCOME.

This is a group for those who are working hard during the day, but eager to learn a new language or further improve their language skills after 5 p.m (could it be 4... or 6?).

We will meet several times a week somewhere (TBA) in Auckland city and just have a nice chat.

We are basically a social group, so we aspire to make the group as diverse as possible, maybe as diverse as Auckland itself.

The more members we can get, the more diverse the group would be and there will be much, much more opportunities for practicing the language(s) you are keen to learn if you already have any in mind.

So just come down, make friends, and figure out where you want to go with your language learning.

------ENG Speaking Friday participants, please see below-------

You might have well noticed that the group, especially the one on Friday, has grown really big.

Although it's a lovely thing and I really appreciate all your support, there have been some hiccups and a serious one just came up today (15/05/2015).

Apparently, somebody didn't pay for his/her coffee and we have been warned if the same thing happens again, we will be banned from the cafe. (the manager didn't charge us for the coffee this time, how nice is that!)

It's really a bother to find a new venue big enough to squeeze all those people in. It actually takes some negotiation. So please make sure to pay for your stuff WHEN YOU ORDER. Plus, please place your order AT THE COUNTER to avoid any confusion.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you but please understand this is a necessary measure to keep the group going.

Cheers,
Yuto
