Details
Of all the techniques that make up the rich tapestry of riding, jumping is perhaps the one technique that riders most often identify as an area where they could do with some help. Your average trail ride might include jumps or drops which with the right skills, a little effort and practice can be successfully mastered.
This is a beginners jumping practice to get you confident in getting your wheels off the ground and not an in-depth jumping course. It is advisable that you have either already completed Rick's skills course and/or have ridden somewhere like Woodhill or similar mountain bike trail network.
• What we'll do
I will be setting up some small wooden ramps between 1 to 2 foot high at this location to practice small jumps and drop-offs for approximately approx 2 hours - all levels of fitness and abilities are welcome to attend.
• Location is Pin Oak Drive in Albany (see Google Earth pic for location) or https://goo.gl/maps/YyGZE5LFtv32 for general vicinity.
• Pre-Meetup information to help you come more prepared
Being able to bunny-hop is a very useful skill to have and if you don't already know how to do this, the video below is very good to learn from and you can practice this skill anywhere - even in your back/front yard.
