What do you enjoy doing most: hiking, skiing, boarding, or all of them?

I enjoy the occasional hike, but am really keen to try out the ski slopes of NZ.

How much hiking, skiing / boarding have you done in the past?

I've only ever skied in Europe and the last time was in 2008. Before I moved here I was a competent skier able to take on the black slopes of the Alps and Pyrenees I have been meaning to try out the ski slopes of NZ for some time now. Hopefully this winter I will. My hiking has always been a bit sporadic although coming from Belfast the Mourne Mountains were at my doorstep and I enjoyed many a day up there. The toughest event I took part in was the Mourne Anderson challenge. A 60km 2 day event over 14 peaks. Like my skiing the hiking has been non-existent since 2008.

I've been enjoying living in Auckland since 2009 when my company offered me a transfer from the Irish office. The two things I love about NZ are the weather and ocean swimming. The things I miss are friends, family and good bars.
