Advanced Machine Learning with Python. Session 12: Logistic Regression

Advanced Machine Learning with Python is a new course organized by the Austin ACM SIGKDD Chapter.

Topic:

The topic of this lecture is "Logistic Regression". This lectured will be given by Ashish Srivastava .

Ashish Srivastava is currently a software engineer at Cadence Design Systems working on developing large scale analysis and optimization software tools. His interests lie in the area of algorithms, linear and convex optimization and their applications. He received his bachelors from the Indian Institute of Technology and PhD from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, all in electrical engineering.

Intended Audience:

The main goal of this course is diving deep into predictive modeling algorithms.

This course is designed for people with some knowledge of machine learning and can code in Python.

The course is NOT intended for beginners
. We will NOT cover things like:

• How to code in Python

• Intro to machine learning

• Unsupervised learning.

Certificate: An official ACM certificate will be awarded to those who complete the course. In order to qualify, you need to attend at least 65% of the sessions.

Visa (12301 Research Blvd, Bldg 3, Austin, TX 78759) will sponsor the classes and provide pizza and drinks.

Parking is available in front of the Visa building. If you cannot find a spot, you can park in the garage behind the building.
