Spark talks: Introduction to Spark Deployment

Details
Topic: Spark Deployment
We are starting new series on Spark. Spark has become a staple for many Data Scientists. Unfortunately, deploying Spark can be both cumbersome and overwhelming for folks who have never worked with this technology stack. With that said, the primary goal of this Meetup is to provide both the instructors and students low-cost (i.e., free) alternatives that can be used throughout the Spark Machine Learning Sessions. In this Meetup, Rob plans to provide a walk through on how to deploy Spark using Docker and introduce Databrick's Notebooks.
Instructor: Robert Chong
Rob has been active with the Austin ACM Chapter over the last few years and is currently the Vice-Chair. He holds both Undergrad and Graduate Degrees in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin where he studied Adaptive Control. However, his day-to-day work as a Principal Data Scientist is focused on real-time anomaly and fault detection.
