Jordan Outdoor Adventure Tour Spring 2019
Join us for an action packed week exploring the beautiful country of Jordan! This trip will focus on the outdoors, but will also include just the right mix of history and culture. Our group of 20 will visit Petra, Jerash, Wadi Rum, Wadi Musa (Dana Biosphere), the Dead Sea and more, and will be lead by 2 tour guides (one Jordanian and one American). We will hike, ride 4x4s, take a camel safari, sleep in a very fancy bedouin camp, stay in a candle lit eco lodge, learn to do some Jordanian cooking, float in the Dead Sea, explore the ancient ruins of Petra and Jerash, and explore the capital city Amman. Optional Spa Day or Wadi Mujib trek will be available while we are staying at the Dead Sea Marriott Resort and Spa, our beautiful 4 star accommodations located right on the Dead Sea. The trip price of $3950 includes AIRFARE FROM HOUSTON (other departures available), accommodations, breakfast every day, lunch and/or dinner most other days, airport transfers, visas, taxes, gratuities, all activities described in the itinerary, and more. Sign up before June 15 and receive a $200 discount! Email [masked] or call Kelly at[masked] if you want more information. About your tour leader: I am an American who has lived almost 25 years in the Middle East: Algeria, Bahrain, Lebanon, Dubai , and most recently, Jordan. While living in Jordan I led many similar tours around the country and believe that the tour I have designed for us covers all the very best Jordan has to offer. I speak Arabic (it ain't pretty but I can converse!) and have an MA in Middle Eastern History. OUR ACCOMMODATIONS: OUR HIKES: (this one is an added option and will depend on the water levels. Some years there is too much water flowing to hike through. WADI RUM:

What we're about

This group is for people who love to travel, but don't like big bus tours or going to restaurants where the menu is in 5 languages! We typically take less than 16 people on our trips and strive to get as authentic a trip as possible. Our accommodations will be quaint and our restaurants will be worthy of any foodie! We love the outdoors, so often the trips will include a good amount of outdoor time.

Last year we took groups hiking in Iceland and island hopping in Greece. Upcoming trips include a trip to Jordan in March (almost full!), and in May/June, we will be escorting 2 groups to Italy.

The first group will visit Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena and then continue on to the Chianti region of Tuscany where we will join up with an experienced guide who will guide us on walks between the villages of the area. We will eat at farms, have amazing dinners at several well-known restaurants, sample wines at vineyards, soak in hot thermal springs, and take in all the beauty of Italy in the late springtime. May 26-June 1 $2990

Our second group will discover the Amalfi Coast of Italy, visiting Sorrento, Capri, Positano, Ravello, Pompeii, and more. We will be staying in 4 and 5-star hotels, sail along the coast, discover the ruins of Pompeii, sip wine in cute cafes, and as always eat some amazing food! June 3- June 8 $3105

***Early booking discount on either trip ***$300 off *** if booked before the end of 2118*****

About me: I have been arranging hiking + touring trips for groups for many years, while living overseas, and continue to do so now that I have moved back to the States. I've camped/hiked in the Sahara Desert; all over the US; Jordan; Oman; The UAE; Kenya; South Africa; and all over Europe, including my two favorites: Scotland and Iceland. I love discovering new countries, but strive to avoid tourist traps. I prefer slow travel!
