What is coming with Selenium 4, why is it taking so long, and what can I already do with what has been released? These are a few of the questions that will be answered by Titus in his presentation. He’s going to cover the W3C specification for WebDriver and what it means for Selenium testing going forward. There will be a discussion of the various new features in Selenium 4 along with several examples of one of the coolest new features: early implementations of WebDriver Bidi, which will provide access access to Chrome DevTools Protocol.

Titus Fortner is a core contributor to the Selenium project and the current project lead for Watir (a Ruby test library built on top of Selenium). Titus has implemented automated tests at five different companies before joining Sauce Labs as a Solutions Architect. At Sauce, Titus has worked with numerous clients to provide framework assessments and identify key areas that can be improved in code to better achieve the company’s goals.
