CockroachDB is a relatively new NewSQL database that shows huge promise for solving some major challenges, both old (think scaling and speed) and new (think GDPR and complex eco-systems). It's a relational, distributed SQL database with the related inherent benefits, but with a ton of modern features and use cases.

In this MeetUp, we have a great panel ready to discuss some key topics about CockroachDB, with plenty of time left for Q&A and further conversation. We are excited that Alex Robinson, a former Cockroach Labs core developer, and Derek Johnson, product manager at ObjectRocket, will lead the panel of data experts. If you're interested in joining the panel, let us know!

Panel topics (not necessarily in this order):
--The adoption of CockroachDB, and what factors play into it
--Geo-partitioning, a superpower of CockroachDB
--Using Kubernetes to run CockroachDB, in both single- and multi-regions

We hope that you join us to discuss and learn more about this up-and-coming DB (and have some food and drinks on us!). Feel free to ask any questions or add comments here!

See you on Dec 11th!
