Let's discuss 'Superintelligence' by Nick Bostrom! Part 1 (First 8 Chapters)

Let's meet up to discuss the first half of 'Superintelligence' by Nick Bostrom. For this meeting we will be reading the first 8 chapters of the book.

Here's a loose agenda:
7pm-7:10pm: Settling in, introductions and some housekeeping (group updates/announcements) - Let's also discuss when to meet for Part 2
7:10-8pm: Share some quotes from the book to guide our discussion
8pm-8:45pm: Critique or praise of the book as well as general discussions and tangents (people tend to trickle out starting at 8:30pm)
