Before you can sit down to write for a brand, there are three key things you need to know in order to capture the voice and target audience. In this session, you'll learn the right way to build a blogging foundation in order to push out messaging smoothly from an organized bank of content.

On the hotseat we have Stephanie Bogus, Director of Content and head writer for Speak Social (http://speaksocial.net/), an Austin-based social media company helping clients build, grow, and manage engaged online communities. The Speak Social team are true content strategists, maintaining that the difference between Social Media dabbling and Social Media Marketing is a unified message.

As Head Writer for Speak Social, Stephanie adds life – and words – to the goals of a brand. She sits down with clients to learn their voice and complete a Brand Profile, otherwise known as the custom playbook to a Social campaign.

Stephanie began writing in high school as a co-founder of the first edition of her school newspaper in 20 years. She graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Journalism, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the school’s newspaper and intern at Fox News in Philadelphia. An opportunity in marketing with a large financial institution brought Stephanie to Austin, but eventually the world moved online - and thus her focus shifted to Social.

About Speak Social

Effective Social Media Marketing requires more than an intern operating your Twitter account. Simply having a Facebook page does not mean people will see it. Speak Social is a comprehensive Social Media presence encompassing: Social networking; review and recommendation sites; forums; videos; pictures; blogs; brand profiles and more.
