Matthew Steehler, Co-founder Mithril Ore Token, Co-founder Guardian Digital Investment Services presents on Ethereum's process of adding new tokens to circulation. The evolution and history of Proof of Work (POW), Proof of Stake (POS), and pro's and cons of Ethereum's future transition.

Ethereum has had many upgrades including the DAO fork , Metropolis - Byzantium, and Constantinople (coming soon!). One of the greener, more secure, and more decentralized/empowering upgrades is the Casper upgrade ; which transitions Ethereum from POW towards POS.

The Casper upgrade has been a bit of a moving target and delayed a few times. At this juncture the Casper upgrade will be be combined with the concept of Sharding to make the "Shasper" upgrade, a more accessible upgrade.

This will be a semi-formal talk about Proof of Stake, Proof of Work, and cover the pro's and cons of the Ethereum's eventual move from mining towards staking.

The early iterations of Casper exclude users from participation in staking based on certain criteria, and make Ethereum much less liquid. Staking restrictions are purposeful for the sake of decreasing network congestion.

Mithril Ore Token's utility is to make Casper more accessible and convenient for the common Ethereum user (aka the not rich, not computer savvy, those that desire more liquidity). The ultimate goal of MORE token is to expand and simplify Ethereum's POS so that it is more accessible: particularly to novice Ethereum users.

{Our Introduction to Mithril Ore (version 2.0) on our Youtube channel would be a good primer for the curious}.
