We're excited to announce the June date for the Austin Homegrown API Meetup! Join us from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20. We'll meet on the third floor of the new ShipEngine office at 4009 Marathon (located one block west of North Lamar between 40th and 41st streets, just behind Taco Shack). Parking is plentiful and free, and there will be signs to help you find the exact location. We'll have food plus beer and other drinks, and we'll pass out special T-shirts to anyone who wants to promote the Meetup around town.
The June 20 meeting will feature a presentation on the importance of developer experience when designing APIs given by Richard Lindsey of ShipStation.
The general schedule will go like this:
5:30 to 6 p.m.: Food, beer and other drinks, socializing
6 to 7 p.m.: Introduction, presentation, discussion and Q&A
7:00 to 7:30 p.m.: Stay, eat, drink and chat with fellow attendees
Please RSVP so we know how much food and drink to have. Send a message if you have any questions or ideas, and look for the signs to find the exact location. Oh, and feel free to bring friends!
Do you have an idea for a future talk? We want to hear it! We’re interested in topics like API design, management, testing, documentation, tips & tricks, tools, emerging technologies, or anything else API related. Talk to a ShipEngine representative at the meetup, or email us at [masked]. Let us know if you’d like to give a lightning talk (5–15 minutes) or a feature talk (30–45 minutes).
