Come see how top software teams in Austin use Jenkins. Through a fast-paced lightening talk, we'll let attendees get up and quickly share about how they use Jenkins. We'll then follow up with a panel discussion featuring the participants.

Location: The Meetup will be hosted by National Instruments, on the first floor of building C (tallest building). The NI Campus is located across the domain in North Austin at 11500 N Mopac Expy, Austin, TX 78759. Coming from Mopac south you need to take the Duval exit, make a U turn and then the campus entrance will be on your right.

You'll need to register at the lobby of building C, where Alejandro delCastillo (or another NI employee) will be waiting to escort people in. If you arrive late, just let the security guard at the lobby know that you are attending the Jenkins Meetup so he can call someone to take you in.

We will have pizza and beer courtesy of CloudBees!

6:30 pm: How We Use Jenkins Lightning Talks

We know Austin is a hub of innovation and this surely applies to the way companies use Jenkins. How do you use Jenkins? Some good questions you may want to touch on in your talk would include:

  • Do you do CI, CD or release builds, or Other Automation?

  • What kind of software do you build and on what platforms?

  • What improvements have you made to how you use Jenkins in the past few months?

  • What challenges do you have with Jenkins?

Please keep your talk to about 5 minutes. We'll give you a sign if you are going on too long. The goal is for everyone to have a quick overview, learn as much as possible and see any trends in best practices, etc.

7:15 pm: Participant Panel

What questions would you ask of the Austin-area Jenkins experts? Now is your chance!

8:00 pm: Wrap-up

All Austin JAM events will be based around Jenkins and not focused on being a sales pitch. If anyone is interested in presenting at our meetups please contact the organizers!
