Art Lovers' Bike Ride (North Central Austin)
Details
Cycling Cezannes and pedaling Picassos - join us on a quirky, social, neighborhood bike ride which takes us past some of Austin's most notable (or notorious) outdoor art... Treasure or trash? Iconic or eyesore? You decide.
The ride will cover about 20 miles at an expected moving pace of 12 mph. Riders must wear a helmet and obey all traffic laws. Your bike should be in good working condition and you should carry ID, money, cell phone, water, tools, and lock.
Our destination will be Art City Austin (https://www.artallianceaustin.org/artcity), the city's grandest community art fair and festival. Admission is $10. We'll tour the exhibits for about an hour, then regroup and ride back to the start. (Those who don't want to visit Art City can sign out from the group and depart back on their own, or hang out at Lady Bird Lake for an hour and join us for the ride home.)

We typically gather for lunch after our rides.
If not already a member, consider joining the Sierra Club (https://sierra.secure.force.com/donate/rc_connect__campaign_designform?id=701310000008mUK#!form=00P3100000SKGM1EAP)(in addition to the Meetup group). Membership isn't necessary to participate in our outings, but it helps our cause and is encouraged.
