The Texas Landscape Project is an atlas that includes both a book, The Texas Landscape Project: Nature and People (http://texaslandscape.us13.list-manage.com/track/click?u=69393ad56462a621eada566cc&id=bc4feb4bea&e=83acda9cab) (published by Texas A&M University Press) and a companion website www.texaslandscape.org. (http://texaslandscape.org/)

The Landscape Project is all about visual materials based on data sets. Todd, who has a background in environmental law, wrote the text, collected the data, drew the few sketches in the book, and prepared draft maps. Ogren, who has a masters degree in geography and the environment, produced the more than 300 finished maps, charts and composite figures. The authors hope that the atlas will give readers a new window into understanding Texas' natural and built world, and will encourage the public to protect the state's land, water, wildlife, air quality, and energy resources.

Pre-Meeting Postcard Writing Session: Donna will have a table for writing postcards to our government leaders between 6:30 and 7:00pm. Please come early to take action!

Consider biking, carpooling, or taking Cap Metro (http://www.capmetro.org/planner) to the meeting. Free parking is available after 6pm on San Jacinto and nearby streets.
