Commons Ford Metropolitan Park Hike

Details

Commons Ford Metropolitan Park Commons Ford Metropolitan Park is one of the lesser known parks in the Austin area and one of the best. Join us for a 4 - 5 mile hike through the Commons Ford Prairie Restoration project, wonderful views of Lake Austin, groves of pecan trees, some historic structures and lots of foliage and hillsides. There are about 215 acres in the Commons Ford Metropolitan Park.
Getting there: From Capitol of Texas Hwy. drive west on FM 2244 (Bee Caves Rd). Approximately 3.5 miles after that intersection turn right on Cuernavaca Drive and then turn left on Commons Ford Road (first street to left) and look for the entrance to the park on the left. The sign will say Commons Ford Ranch. Enter park and park at the bottom of the hill at the visitors parking lot. Dogs on a leash are welcome. We will go out to eat afterwards. A donation of $2 for members and $3 for non-members is suggested to offset club expenses. Contact Janis for more information.
