About the Event: As we emerge from the global pandemic and the "great resignation" of 2021, we are all asking ourselves the same questions: What’s really important to me? Is this what I really want to do? If not, am I ready to make a change? Where do I start? Chris Hammond has been mentoring, managing, and coaching others to navigate their careers for years. Join him as he shares his expertise on navigating your own introspection as well as how to design a future that’s best for YOU.
Speaker Bio: Chris believes that making is the fastest way to learn. He is a design principal at IBM, focused on the company’s supply chain products. He leads user experience visioning to inform product roadmaps 2-3 years in the future. Previously, he was a design principal on IBM’s Design Program Office where he mentored and coached leaders and organizations to be more human-centered in service of better outcomes. He led IBM’s point of view on design research and contributed to IBM’s Enterprise Design Thinking framework and activations. He also served in IBM Health Corps tackling infectious disease with the Taiwan Center for Disease Control. Before IBM, he led consulting and corporate design teams to deliver great experiences in healthcare, consumer goods, and electronics. He regularly presents and teaches on design and innovation. He currently lives in Austin, Texas.
