Learn to speak Vietnamese or English in a fun environment. We will have casual conversation, a great time, and lots of laughs :) Bring a notebook or dictionary if you like!

All levels are welcome! Our group is new, so we’re open to feedback and suggestions on how to make this fun and beneficial for everyone.

Help support our restaurants by purchasing a beverage or a snack while we chat! Looking forward to meeting you!

Weekly Vietnamese Hour (Virtual)

Online event

Xin Chào! This event is weekly and broadcasted live from Vietnam by our teacher Mai. She will walk us through some basics around a topic that will be pre-selected before the session (ex: travel, food, history, etc …). You’ll be learning some new vocabulary and sentences that could be used on a daily basis. The format is simple, and you only need to follow the class via Google Hangouts and a shared document that will be both available as soon as your RSVP. This class will be mostly targeting "beginning learners" as well as "expats" since the timezones covered are CDT and ICT. If you are more fluent you are welcome to join. This event is also shared in major Vietnamese cities on other platforms so the number of participants might be a little higher than it looks like on Meetup. A normal session starts with a game (review of the last week vocabulary), followed by expression (what you have done over the weekend) and then the class around a single topic. At the end of the session you will all get a summary with grammar and vocabulary covered. It's optional, but feel free to offer a coffee to the teacher: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/trinhtuyetmai
