ABOUT: TV/Film producer Jennifer Hutchins gives insider entertainment industry advice while introducing a helpful guest speaker with an expert knowledge in the the entertainment business each month. Attendees can introduce themselves to the group, exchange skills and get recommendations and referrals. The goal of "Austin Entertainment Business" is to get people hired and paid!
March Guest speaker: Austin Film Commission (AFC) Director Brian Gannon reveals how to utilize the AFC for filming locally—searching for filming locations, permitting and utilizing the AFC database of local crew and vendors. Recent productions the AFC has worked to bring to Austin include AMC’s The Son and Fear the Walking Dead – both of which are currently filming in the area.

7:00PM- Guest Speaker: Brian Gannon
7:15-8:00PM- Networkers can introduce themselves to the group on open microphone.
8:00PM- Room opens to the general public/ continued networking
Speakeasy is a sprawling 3-level nightclub with nightly live music & weekend DJs, '20s-style decor & rooftop patio. Drink specials for group members and their guests: $5 cocktails and $4 beers.
What to bring
It's helpful to have a goal in mind with specific questions to put out to the group.
For example: I am looking for an expert in Web design and monetizing websites and in exchange I'm willing to give the same amount of time in producing and/or advice specific to that individual.
