Austin Game Devs and "All Ivy" -- Panel on the State of the Video Game Industry

Details

UPDATE: Just a clarification. All Austin Game Dev events are open to the public. Everyone is welcome!

Austin Game Devs,

Please join us at the Capital Factory in the Voltron Room (1st floor, Omni Hotel), for a panel discussion (and game demos!) about the state of the video game industry today in Austin and beyond. Join a group of senior game executives in a wide ranging discussion.

Topics will include:

  • Background to the Austin game industry,
  • The impact of the business of video games being bigger than film and music combined,
  • The differences between games including platform, genre and monetization,
  • Globalization and games, and
  • Where the game industry goes from here.

We will also have a few local companies doing live game demos during and after the panel talk.

For this event, we are pleased to partner with the All Ivy organization of Austin and welcome their members!

About All Ivy: All Ivy is a team effort to coordinate activities of the local alumni organizations of the eight Ivy institutions, the Seven Sisters (Barnard, Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, Smith, Vassar, and Wellesley), MIT, Stanford, and the University of Chicago.

7:00 PM - Panel Begins
8:00 PM - Q&A Begins
