Want to do a "Puzzle Room"?

Greetings, true believers, fellow geeks and gamers!

I just wanted to pol your interest level in a possible activity for our meetup group – for lack of a better term, “Puzzle Room” adventures. Just this week, I have been contacted by folks running both “Perplexium” and “The Seventh Room”. In addition to those two, there are several others in town, including “The Escape Game”, “Austin Panic Room”, “Maze Rooms Austin”, “Puzzle Rooms Austin” and so on. They all offer an interactive live game experience which requires teamwork and puzzle-solving, typically lasting an hour or so, and typically costing $15-$35 per person.

I am considering setting up a meetup event at one of these attractions, at a group discount of course, but would need a good sense of how many of you would be genuinely interested. So, please reply to ME at johanntx (at) gmail.com (Please DON’T reply to the entire email list.) Let me know your thoughts on:

·        Have you ever been to one of these puzzle rooms? If so, which one and do you recommend it specifically?

·        Would you be interested in going to one as part of a meetup event?

·        Would a weeknight or weekend be better for you?

·        What is the maximum amount you would be comfortable paying?

Again, please reply directly to my email address johanntx (at) gmail.com, not the entire mailing list. I look forward to hearing back from you soon. Thanks!

Excelsior!
