At this fun 2-day event we will be accessing our joyful, childlike playfulness, giving ourselves permission to release stress and reconnect to our creativity, while inviting the magic of laughter to transform the health of our bodies and minds! (And it will, without the use of jokes or comedy)
After successful completion of this course participants will be qualified as a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader (CLYL), an internationally recognized certification.
***Laughter Warning! It is highly infectious and could seriously improve your health and happiness.

*Gain the skills and confidence to inspire you to incorporate laughter appropriately into your professional & personal relationships. Get more laughter into your own life and discover the importance of laughter and play every day.
*Gain the skills and confidence to lead laughter sessions and meditation in social Laughter Clubs, companies, organizations, senior care centers, schools, fitness centers and more.

*You will have a thorough understanding and experience of laughter, Laughter Yoga - how and why it works.

2. You Will Learn To Do Laughter: Knowledge alone is not enough.
Gain practical skills and laughter exercises to use at work, home alone or in laughter sessions. Once your body gets the intelligence of laughing without a reason, you can even laugh all by yourself anytime, anywhere.

3. You Will Learn To Live Laughter
*Laughing on a regular basis brings attitudinal changes in yourself and others.
*Be inspired and empowered to start your own Laughter Club
*Facilitate Laughter Yoga sessions (free or paid) with the general public, at work, in business situations, in the community, with seniors, students, children, support groups and more.
*Connect you with an active network of Laughter professionals in the US and around the world.

Linda Gillen is an expert at using the power of laughter, joy, humor and positivity as an exercise to move through life's stressful times with love and laughter. She is uniquely qualified to offer the gift of laughter and joy to others. From her experiences as a professional clown for 25 years, maintaining a childlike appreciation of life while working in elementary schools and helping women understand and lighten up about their health and fitness, she now is sharing the joys and health benefits of laughter with her 5 grandchildren, in the local laughter club, senior facilities, community groups and events.

If laughter IS the best medicine, why aren’t we laughing more? By default, as adults, many of us have trained ourselves to respond to stress by worrying, getting angry, criticizing and blaming. These are antiquated responses to stress and only release cortisol, the aging hormone, into our bodies making us feel worse. Laughter releases dopamine and other endorphins into our system, even when we fake the laughter, we feel better. Laughter is cathartic, giving an outlet and expression to pent up frustrations and easily transforming them.
Laughter Yoga provides an opportunity for people to connect in a group and laugh for no reason as an exercise. It reduces anxiety & depression, relieves pain, stress and insomnia, lowers blood pressure, increases oxygen levels to the brain and body and promotes relaxation, stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system to kick-in. It is a full workout for the mind and body.
