About Your Facilitators:
Megan Taylor Morrison: Megan Taylor Morrison is a dancer, entrepreneur, and professional coach who works with clients across the globe to reach their goals in life and business. She believes each of us deserves a life that is fulfilling, inspiring and abundant. As a coach and facilitator of authentic relating games, Megan is known for the unique combination of play and structure she brings to groups.
Megan founded her coaching business and her company Dance Adventures simultaneously (*in fact, the first year of this retreat was a part of Dance Adventures’ Dominican Republic expedition. To read more about dance-specific retreats, visit www.danceadventures.org). Together, these companies are the full expression of who she is. She loves working with others to cultivate more joy, connection, and adventure in their lives through both coaching and dance trips abroad.
In her private coaching practice, Megan works with entrepreneurs who want to grow companies that bring their passion and joy to the world. She helps them create new levels of success without burnout. Megan blends somatic, ontological and facilitative coaching to help clients create breakthrough results.
Catherine A. Wood
A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from the Dominican Republic, Catherine is the founder and head coach of personal coaching firm Unbounded Potential (www.catherineawood.com). She works with rising star performers who are committed to making a big impact in the world. She helps them fall in love with themselves first so they can take bolder actions, overcome perfectionism, and get bigger results in the direction of their dreams. A big adventurer herself, Catherine lived overseas in Argentina for six months and in the Dominican Republic for four years. In the Dominican Republic, her Peace Corps service focused on ecotourism. After two years, she transitioned to work with a local nonprofit with the mission of spreading the economic benefits of the international tourism industry across the entire country. She is a dominicana dentro de su corazon with a passion for Latin dancing, and she is beyond thrilled to lead this second annual coaching trip to the Dominican Republic.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Cat and Megan will meet you at the Santo Domingo airport where you will have a quick toast to the start of the trip. We'll then climb into our private bus and head to the gorgeous Samana Peninsula. After checking into your treehouse, you'll have orientation and enjoy a delicious dinner. This evening, relax and get to know the rest of the group. Day 2: A morning yoga class is the perfect way to get centered and prepared for our first full day. After breakfast, we'll have a coaching workshop and goal-setting session before a luxurious four-hour break for lunch. During this time, we will ride bikes to the beach, enjoy freshly prepared local dishes, and relax. In the afternoon, you'll have two more coaching workshops before breaking for dinner. Tonight, you will learn bachata and merengue moves (both these dances were born in the DR!) so you can dance to local music with the amazing Dominican staff and your fellow travelers. Day 3: We head out on ATVs to Playa Rincon -- one of the most famous beaches in the Dominican Republic and rated among the top beaches in the world. We will take the road to Boca Del Diablo, which runs along volcanic cliffs with a gorgeous ocean view. There, we will swim, have a typical Caribbean lunch and enjoy Authentic Relating and coaching workshops on the beach. In the afternoon, we visit a casa tipica (local home) where we will learn how to make coffee, chocolate and rum. Tonight, we'll chat around a bonfire and you'll have free time for dancing, a dip in the on-site waterfall, or a massage with the on-site massage therapist (book at your own cost). Day 4: After yoga and breakfast, it's time for zip lining! This is a chance to get outside of your comfort zone and see the beautiful landscape from above the forest canopy. Later, we continue our reset work with two more coaching workshops. After dinner, we draw this amazing experience to a close with a farewell ceremony.
Day 5: Take a final yoga class or an early-morning dip in the waterfall and then say goodbye to the lovely staff at the treehouse village. Our private bus will take us back to the Santo Domingo airport for an early-afternoon departure. Investment:
