What we're about

ASPiE is a group for college students with ASD! Our meetings are currently on hold as we establish new leadership for the group after Dr. Gorski's departure from UIC, but please don't go away! Feel free to join, as we would love to meet you into the future and we will keep you posted on new meetups.

ASPiE is a peer support group geared toward college students with ASD. The group includes all students from colleges and universities in the Chicago area. Those who attend will have opportunities to meet students with similar interests, discuss college life in a supportive environment, hear about topics of interest (relationships, dating, assertiveness skills, organization, etc.), and have fun. Snacks are provided. Some meetings will occur in the community (coffee shops, restaurants, bowling, etc.). The ASPiE group is not a therapeutic group. The focus of the group is on peer interactions, support, and shared interests to build relationships in a fun environment.
