What we're about

If you have digestive issues, chronic fatigue, joint pain, or other symptoms that impact your daily life, we can relate! This group is for anyone with autoimmune disease or chronic illness, who wants to connect with others in the same boat.

No matter where you are on your health journey – diagnosis, treatment, or maintaining wellness – connecting with others in a positive atmosphere is an incredible way to complement the healing process.

Autoimmune Aware is a dynamic support group, creating an inclusive space for the autoimmune and chronic illness community to thrive, with gatherings to share, learn, and connect.

The goals of this group are to:

1. Share and Empower

There are thousands of us out there, yet too many of us are living with autoimmune disease or chronic illness in isolation, without the powerful tool of support from peers. We're building a friendly, inclusive space to gather together, chat about our experiences, and share information.

Support means lifting each other up. And that’s what we're here to do – inspire ourselves and others to keep asking questions, keep researching, and keep looking for solutions.

2. Learn

Tips and Suggestions – Are you exploring a new therapy or starting a nutritional protocol? Are you looking for helpful apps or resources to manage life with a chronic illness? Through this group we can share insights and pool our knowledge to spark new ideas and help each other - as a complement to our medical care.

Health Education – In addition to monthly meetings, we may include educational talks from practitioners and other experts in topics related to health and chronic illness, such as dietitians, acupuncturists, rheumatologists, functional medicine doctors, mental health professionals, health coaches, and yoga instructors.

3. Connect

Having a consistent monthly meeting will help us cultivate new relationships and sustain a thriving autoimmune disease community.

Creating connections and learning from each other can empower us to raise awareness of autoimmune disease, helping our friends and family better understand what these conditions are and how they affect our daily lives.

Please RSVP here or on our Facebook Page! Seeing those RSVPs truly helps grow the group and attract more people to join the community. However, it’s not necessary - just encouraged - to sign up ahead of time :-)
