Monthly AI in Robotics Meetup
Details
This is a monthly meetup for people who are interested in A.I. in robotics to connect and learn from each other with the potential to discuss possible collaboration opportunities.
Guest Speaker: Jasminder Hayer
Jasminder is a Solution Architect within the Aerospace & Satellite Solutions business unit at Amazon Web Services, helping builders across Asia Pacific and Japan bring the best of cloud computing to their solutions.
He will present to us the AWS cloud computing platform and a few tools like RoboMaker and SageMaker particularly relevant for robotics and AI applications.
Robotics and AI applications in particular are typically computing-hungry. for example vision processing. Robotics itself can massively benefit from simulations before physical tests. All of this demands a growing amount of power, which would be in very limited access if it wasn't for cloud computing. Cloud computing allows individuals, academics, and companies to access appropriate resources when needed at an affordable cost, and eliminates many overheads. In this presentation,
We expect a wide audience of people new to robotics/AI/cloud computing to experts or company executives. The 45min presentation will be held and recorded on Chime, and followed by a Q&A session (can be very basic questions on cloud computing, or more advanced questions).
